About The Rogers Family
The Rogers Family is a Christ-centered, full-time singing group dedicated to sharing the love of Jesus through Southern Gospel music. With a genuine passion for ministry, they strive to uplift, encourage, and point others to the hope found in the Lord. Their desire is not to bring glory to themselves but to use the gifts God has given them to touch lives, spread His Word, and faithfully serve wherever He leads!
Our Story
The Rogers Family originated in Northeast Georgia where Ray & Helen Rogers, and their daughter, Kim, sang in churches with Kim playing the piano.
Kim met Sammy Shields at a church in North Carolina, and they married in 1999.
They have three children: Rebekah, 25; Samuel, 21; & Hannah, 17.
The family now resides in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains
of North Carolina.
Ray passed away in 2010, and now the kids do most of the singing, although Kim and Helen still enjoy singing with the family as well.
Helen, Kim, Sammy, Rebekah, Samuel, & Hannah is the current group that travels and sings today, with Kim still the pianist, and is blessed to carry on the tradition of southern gospel music.

Kim Shields
I am Kim Rogers Shields, the pianist of The Rogers Family and mother of Rebekah, Samuel, & Hannah. Sammy and I have been married since 1999, and we were blessed to homeschool all 3 children all the way through.
I have been playing the piano since I was 5 years old, and I am very thankful for the musical talents that God Gave me. I am thrilled for the opportunity to be traveling and serving the Lord with my family. One of my favorite parts is meeting such sweet people wherever our schedule takes us.
At home or on the road, you’ll more than likely find me looking for good places to shop!
My favorite Scripture is Psalm 84:11: “For the LORD God is a sun and shield: The LORD will give grace and glory: No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.”
My favorite song is “When He Reached Down His Hand for Me,” and this happened for me when I was 11 years old. 🙌🏼
It’s a joy to share the Gospel in music, and I’m truly grateful for every opportunity to do so.

Helen Rogers
My name is Helen Rogers, and I'm so thankful to still be traveling and singing with my family. My late husband, Ray Rogers, and I started The Rogers Family many years ago with a desire to share the Gospel through music. Although Ray went home to be with the Lord in 2010, his legacy lives on in every song we sing.
I count it a blessing to see our children and grandchildren continuing in this ministry, and I'm honored to still be a part of it. Even though most of them now carry the Shields name, we've kept "The Rogers Family" as a tribute to the foundation Ray and I laid by God's grace.
When we're not on the road, I enjoy cooking for my family and spending time working in the yard--two things that bring me a lot of joy. I love serving the Lord alongside my family, and I'm grateful for every mile, every moment, and every opportunity to lift up the name of Jesus.

Rebekah Shields
Hi, I'm Rebekah! I'm 25 and have been singing since I was just 2 years old. I've always had a deep love for Southern Gospel music, my earliest musical influences being Vestal Goodman and Kim Hopper. My favorite pastime is watching Gaither Homecoming VHS tapes, and now I collect them!
After the Lord saved me at 15, He gave me a heart for music ministry. It's such a blessing to live out my calling, and I strive to bring passion and purpose to every note I sing.
I now share that same love for music by teaching online voice lessons to students of all ages. I also recently started a natural skincare business and am an avid reader, always on the hunt for a good book! I love traveling to new places, seeing unique things along the way, and meeting so many sweet people!
My favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 41:10 - a constant reminder of God's strength and presence, and a truth I hope to share every time I sing!

Samuel Shields
Hi, I’m Samuel Shields! I sing baritone with my family, and also am the bass guitarist for the group. I’m thankful for the opportunity to travel and serve the Lord through music. Whether we’re on stage or connecting with folks, I love being part of this ministry!
In my spare time, I enjoy playing instruments and teaching guitar when we’re home. I also love to fish—even when we’re on the road, I’m always looking for a good spot to cast a line! Another favorite thing to do while traveling is stop by antique and thrift stores in hunt for new treasures—especially old Gospel records. And if the day ends with a good steak, it’s even better!
My favorite Scripture is Psalm 121:1, and one of my favorite songs would be “How Great Thou Art.”
I’m grateful for the ministry God has established me in and for the privilege of serving Him alongside my family.

Hannah Shields
Hey there! I’m Hannah Ruth Shields, and I have the joy of traveling full-time with my family, singing alto and helping run our product table, as well as social media / website manager!
I’m a recent high school graduate and feel incredibly blessed to travel full-time and be part of a ministry that shares the love of Jesus through song.
You’ll probably find me in a coffee shop, enjoying Mexican food, diving into all things makeup and girlie, or digging through old Southern Gospel records!
One of my favorite Bible verses is Psalm 28:7.
My prayer is that people would see the joy of the Lord in me as I sing, and that He would shine through me, so that I can be a light & represent Him in everything that I do.
It’s an honor to serve the Lord full-time alongside some of the people I love most, and I look forward for what the future holds!
